Yep it's time. My online digs are in need of renovation. And now that I'm a graphic designer, I'm armed with the tools and the skills to do it. But before I get into how I'm going to do it, I first want to tell you why.
In my first blog post back, I said that I was thinking that I would keep my graphic design separate from my blog. But after having almost two weeks to sit with this decision, I realised that it wasn't actually what I want. I made it out of the fear that the two were incompatible.
But I love graphic design, and I love talking about and sharing what I've learnt in my continuing inner work. After all you can't separate our inner work, from the work we do in the world. They both feed each other.
So I've decided not to separate it. Anyone who has a blog or a business knows how it is one of the best ways of bringing up all sorts of fears and issues for us to face. Putting yourself out there will do that to you. Blogging and/or running a business is just as much an inner journey as it is an outer one. And so my blog is going to continue to be a place for me to share and document the lessons I'm learning in design, branding, blogging and life.
And now to the exciting news.
Firstly I am going to put together some totally new offerings. I am moving away from Life Coaching for the moment (you can read more about that decision here) and am going to put together some branding and website design packages for bloggers and entrepreneurs who are on a budget.
Most bloggers and entrepreneurs who are just staring out don't have a huge amount of capital available, but if they are anything like me, they still want their brand and their website to look professional. So I am going to put together packages that will allow bloggers to get up and running without breaking the bank.
Inspired by my new offerings, I thought it was only fitting that I should go through the process that my clients will myself.
More than that, I am going do the entire re-brand in two weeks! I will be documenting my process every step of the way and sharing it on Facebook, Instagram and of course email so that people can follow along and see how it's done.
Not only will I be giving myself a new logo, but I'll be completely re-doing my website, just as if I was a client who came to me with no online presence. And I'm starting today!
The plan of attack for today will be doing the homework I will set form my clients myself. This consists of two questionnaires, a branding questionnaire and a website questionnaire. I will also begin writing the copy for the pages of my website.
If you want to keep up with my process, be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook. I'd love for you to be a part of it. I may even need your opinion from time to time. And if you know of anyone who might be interested in what I'm doing, I'd love it if you passed it on.
Thanks so much for your continued support. I so appreciate you. I can't wait to share the end result with you in two weeks time!
Love,
